Founded in 1991 by William Castagnoli, Forni D’Italia is an exclusive Australian importer of the world’s finest finest wood fired ovens from Italy. Our exclusive range of quality commercial and domestic wood fired ovens are made from the superior terracotta that is craftily manufactured by skilled artisans that combines the unique experience of many generations with the superior technology of today.

Baking in a wood fired oven is a time-honoured, traditional method and is a truly rewarding cooking experience that produces a unique and unmatched flavour that can only be achieved with a quality designed and produced oven. Wood fired ovens are perfect for
mouth-watering gourmet style pizzas, hot delicious roast meats, vegetable and pasta dishes, whole baked fish, garlic prawns and fresh crayfish, crusty loaves of homemade bread or bruschette, and many other types of delicious foods, dishes, and even cakes.

Each quality oven that we exclusively import is manufactured using a mix of special refractory mortar and the best ‘cotto Toscana’ clay from the hills of Tuscany, Italy. Individual pieces are formed in moulds and baked to produce a series of ingenious, interlocking shapes. These pre-cast units are then simply and easily assembled to form the self-supporting domed oven.

Compliant with Australian and International environmental guidelines.

All of our ovens comply with stringent European guidelines on energy efficiency. They have been tested for odour emissions and when fitted with the recommended exhaust system, comply with
the odour design criterion as required by the NSW EPA. Upon request, a gas back-up kit can be fitted. Only AGL parts, which comply with the NSW gas standards, are used.
